Temporary T1 Internet-To-Go
Today, much of our communications is transmitted over the Internet. This information includes voice (VOIP), video and data. Everything from simple e-mail to live video conferencing can now occur over the Internet backbone.
Broadband access to the Internet is not yet available everywhere, and where it is available, installing a temporary connection may be too costly to justify.
T1 Reliability and Speed
StarNet 7 provides broadband Internet access (up to 2Mbps) via satellite.
This system is mounted on a trailer with a standard hitch for towing and is self-contained with everything you need to establish connection to the Internet in minutes from virtually anywhere.
The satellite link is provided by Tachyon Networks Inc. This network was designed for commercial enterprises and government agencies offering fast, reliable and secure connectivity. Tachyon’s broadband satellite network replicates the "look and feel of terrestrial networks through patented TCP/IP compatible signal processing and Quality of Service (QoS) technologies, enabling high speed, high quality transmission with guaranteed Service Level Agreements (SLA’s) - - a first for satellite broadband. Tachyon’s service enables business continuity, providing total network redundancy and ensuring that events such as natural disasters and landline outages do not hinder data communications or reduce productivity.
Tachyon is the only broadband satellite provider to guarantee Quality of Service, backed by terrestrial-like Service Level Agreements (SLAs), to give you ultimate confidence in your communications network-around the corner, around the country, and in every situation.
Tachyon's QoS Technologies, a component of T-Force, the Satellite Broadband performance Optimizer, prioritize and deliver individual customer packets based on subscribed service level. Tachyon's Qos technologies accomplish this through a combination of TCP rate control and priority assignment based on the Internet Engineering Task Force (IETF)-backed token bucket algorithm. So even in a congested environment, your data throughput and link performance is ensured.
Some of the applications that have been identified for StarNet 7 include:
· Short-term access until terrestrial service is installed or restored
· Disaster recovery
· On-site insurance claims adjusting
· Homeland Security
· Live Video or Web-Cast of live events (sports, auctions, etc.)
· Construction sites
· Education
· Telemedicine
Ease of Use
StarNet 7 is your remote connection to the Tachyon high-speed network. Our equipment is easy to deploy for temporary and transportable satellite broadband connectivity.
Quick Deploy Service
The Quick Deploy Service (QDS) is an enterprise product developed for customers with a need for network mobility. The QDS pricing structure is based on the number days the customer passes traffic over the network, independent of how much traffic is passed or for how long traffic is passed on that day. Billing days are 12AM to 11:59PM Central Time.
